Change of name for Sterling Pulp Chemicals

Toronto, ON — March 6, 2003 — ERCO Worldwide is the new name for Sterling Pulp Chemicals.

The company says the name ERCO refers to its 100-year history as a supplier of quality bleaching systems and products to the pulp and paper and water treatment industries.

ERCO Worldwide supplies chlorine dioxide technology and chlorine dioxide precursor chemicals — sodium chlorate to the pulp and paper industry and sodium chlorite, the environmentally preferred technology in municipal water treatment. The company has five manufacturing facilities located in Canada and one in Georgia, with its head office located in Toronto.
