Thermo Electron and SOTAX collaborate to provide comprehensive dissolution service

Madison, WI – Thermo Electron has concluded an OEM agreement with Basel-based SOTAX, in which SOTAX dissolution baths will be offered with a Thermo Nicolet UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The partners say the collaboration will provide pharmaceutical customers with a high-quality, complete, and automated turnkey system supporting various pharmacopoeia methods. <br>

SOTAX has a special sampling technology and dissolution bath concept, which simplifies bath validation. In addition it is a developer of flow-through dissolution and automated testing solutions that meet and exceed USP and FIP guidelines. <br>

The new combined system will include control of up to two dissolution baths with a single UV-Vis instrument, state-of-the-art validation and software tools allowing customers to achieve 21 CFR Part 11 compliance. <br>
