Dionex to purchase ESA Biosciences life sciences tools business unit

Sunnyvale, CA – Liquid chromatography analysis manufacturer Dionex Corporation says it has agreed to purchase ESA Biosciences’ high-performance liquid chromatograph (HPLC)-related products, HPLC clinical assays, laboratory services and assets.

This acquisition will add three HPLC detector families to the Dionex HPLC product portfolio: the Corona® family of universal charged aerosol detectors (CAD), and the CoulArray® and Coulochem® electrochemical detectors for the neuroscience, clinical, and metabolomics research applications.

The transaction is expected to close by the end of September.
