Traditional protein precipitation sample preparation is complex and messy. By using Porvair Sciences’ Microshake orbital shaker in conjunction with its p3 protein precipitation plates, sample preparation is both accelerated and simplified. Rapid and complete mixing of serum samples with acetonitrile is ensured simply by placed the plate on the shaker and agitating for fewer than 30 seconds. The shaker uses a 15 V power supply and is fitted with a speed adjuster. It is compact, quiet and similar in size to a standard form microplate.
