Imaging camera detects biogas leaks, temperature differences

Having the ability to detect biogas leaks from a safe distance can improve operator safety. Flir Systems’ portable GF320 Optical Gas Imaging camera can scan a broader area much more rapidly than traditional biogas leak detectors and it can monitor areas that are difficult to reach with contact measurement tools. It contains a cooled Indium antimonide detector that operators in the 3.2- to 3.4-μm waveband, which enables it to not only visualize leaks, but also makes the smallest of temperature differences on the storage tank visible.
