Heavy-wall PTFE assemblies offer improved vacuum resistance

Increasing the wall thickness of a PTFE hose assembly improves vacuum resistance at higher temperatures and also offers greater kink resistance and reduced permeation. Parker Hannifin’s PTFE convoluted, open pitch, heavy wall hose assemblies have up to 33% more PTFE than a typical convoluted hose and can handle vacuum applications up to temperatures of 206°C. The PTFE core also reduces friction, minimizing pressure drops and deposits. They are manufactured in diameters ranging from 0.5-in. to 4 in., with a stainless steel or polypropylene braid. Accessories such as fire sleeves, spring guard or heat shrink for colour coding are also available. Parker Hannifin Corporation
