Miniature inductive sensor has sensing range expanded

Traditional sensors have been generally too large for use in applications where space is in short supply. Baumer has increased the sensing distance of its IFRM04/05 series of inductive sensors by 60 per cent. And even the smallest sensor of this series—at 4 mm in diameter and 20 mm long—has an integrated electronic circuit, making it ideal for use in the most compact of applications. With 1.6mm, it also offers a large sensing distance for sensors with greater than a 1 kHz switching frequency. The Baumer Group
