When freezing samples, it’s important to do it quickly to prevent sample distortion and the development of microscopic ice crystals. PolyScience’s new histology bath features a -60°C working temperature that freezes samples quickly. The histology freeze plate, with its flat -34°C, 877 cm2 plate, enables histotechnicans to observe tissue freezing directly and to keep specimen edges flat when preparing samples for examination. It reduces sample processing time by 40 per cent or more. The bath has a 1.0 l stainless steel reservoir, includes an immersion basket and chuck for easy submersion and retrieval of samples. Both are available for 120-V, 60 Hz or 240 V, 50 Hz operation. Polyscience
