Custom cryogenic attritor manufactured with telescoping head

If an application requires custom machinery, finding the right manufacturer is crucial. Union Process recently worked with a customer to build the exact mill it needed for its particular application—an attritor with a telescoping head. The SL-30 batch production attritor will be used in an R&D application to grind materials in liquid nitrogen. The mill features a 340SS grinding tank that includes a vented cover for cryogenic grinding with liquid nitrogen, and a phase separator. A liquid nitrogen controller is used to maintain liquid nitrogen levels during milling, and the product discharge is equipped with a cryogenic ball valve. Union Process Inc.
