Hantaviruses can infect humans via rodent waste including urine and saliva resulting in often fatal conditions including hantavirus pulmonary syndrome and hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome. Virostat has developed three new monoclonal antibodies to the nucleocapsid protein of these RNA viruses. One of them recognizes all viruses tested, while the other two recognize four viral Hantavirus species.
