The excellent optical, chemical and physical properties of cyclo-olefin microplates make them extremely popular in highly automated research. Greiner Bio-One’s new 1536 well compound storage plate is made from transparent cyclo-olefin, and are suitable for storing samples because they have low water permeability and resistance to polar solvents such as dimethyl sulphoxide. Glass-like optical properties and a high level of transparency enable use of the microplates for biochemical testing. The microplate top is absent of alphanumerical coding to render a smooth surface ideal for heat sealing and automated sealing techniques that use metal covers. They also conform to ANSI 1-2004.
