Simplification of liquid flow sensing technology enables extremely small and efficient sensor solutions. With a footprint 10 x 10 mm, Sensirion’s new liquid flow sensors have no moving parts and no obstacles in the flow path of the field. LPG10—the glass version—is extremely durable, while the LPP10—the plastic version—is suitable for disposable applications and is cost-effective in high volume. The packaging enables the sensor microchips to measure non-invasively through the wall of a flow channel inside a microfluidic planar substrate providing sensitivity for liquid flow measurement and bubble detection in the one to 1,000 µl/min range.
