Intuitive light-scattering device analyzes nanoparticles in liquid

The Litesizer 500 light-scattering device determines the size and stability of nanoparticles and submicroparticles in liquids. Combining key technological advances and simple software has resulted in a high-performance instrument that produces state-of-the-art particle analysis at the touch of a button.

The size and stability of nanoparticles and microparticles are crucial to their function as well as to their processing and transport properties. The device provides all the tools for optimizing particle systems by revealing how they change with time, pH, temperature and concentration. It determines particle size, zeta potential, and molecular mass by using light-scattering technology, in combination with transmittance measurements.

The user interface is a one-page workflow, where input parameters, results and analysis are all on a single page. Users can set up measurement series in a few seconds, and produce analysis and reports at the touch of a button. Results from different experiments can be compared when it is convenient.

The instrument gives the user instant feedback about their sample, and the device can automatically adjust parameters like the focus position, measurement angle, and measurement duration. Anton Paar GmbH
