Particle image analysis software and a new, high-resolution camera are combined in imaging system that extends particle and microorganism imaging capabilities by 50%, according to the manufacturer. Capturing 50% more pixels in the field of view, the advances reveal correspondingly more information per image with greater visual clarity while yielding more accurate measurements and, therefore, more definitive, actionable characterization data. Suitable for use in marine research, water quality monitoring, product quality assurance and other applications where understanding the true size and shape of particles and microorganisms is fundamental. The system takes high-resolution, digital images of individual particles and microscopic organisms, measures each one based on dozens of measurement parameters and saves the images and data for identification, analysis and collaborative review via the software.
