Sackville, NB – Mount Allison University has received a total of $4.3 million in infrastructure funding from the federal and provincial governments.
The funding will be used for improvements to the university’s Barclay Chemistry and Biochemistry Building’s teaching and research spaces. The federal government is providing close to $2.1 million for the projects, and the New Brunswick government is providing $2.2 million.
“The improvements to our Barclay Building will reinvigorate our research, teaching and learning spaces and inspire scientific creativity, while reducing our environmental footprint. This will extend our students’ research collaboration with our faculty – producing innovations, discoveries and well-trained, experienced graduates who will go on to make important contributions to Canada’s economy and society,” said Dr Robert Campbell, Mount Allison University president and vice-chancellor.
