Advisory board appointment for Forbes Medi-Tech

Vancouver, BC – Biopharmaceutical company Forbes Medi-Tech has appointed Dr Steven Nissen, medical director of the Cleveland Clinic Cardiovascular Coordinating Center, as chairman of its medical and scientific advisory board.

Dr Nissen was one of the pioneers in the development of intravascular ultrasound. He has been actively involved in several large IVUS studies of atherosclerosis regression and progression. He is a respected cardiologist who has authored more than 200 journal articles, book chapters, and CD-Roms, mostly in the field of cardiovascular imaging.
