Canada Research Chairs Program releases names of latest chairholders

Ottawa, ON – The Canada Research Chairs Program has released the names of the most recently appointed Canada Research Chairs. These 123 top researchers, whose nominations were submitted by 38 Canadian universities in December 2007, include 18 new Canada Research Chairs, 104 Chairs whose mandates have been renewed, and one who has been advanced from a Tier 2 to a Tier 1 Chair.
