Dusseldorf, Germany – A total of 51 Canadian companies have booked exhibition space at MEDICA 2014, which takes place in Dusseldorf, Germany from November 12-15.
MEDICA is the world’s largest trade fair covering all aspects of the medical industry, including laboratory science. Occupying 17 exhibition halls in the Dusseldorf trade fair grounds, no other medical trade fair in the world compares in terms of size, scope of exhibits, international exposure and its role as a global marketing platform. Last year, 132,000 trade visitors from around the world attended the annual show.
The Canadian exhibitors will fill a total of 8,525 square feet of net exhibition space, 9.6% over 2013 and the best result ever. On show will be products as varied as rapid tests, orthopaedic devices as well as communications and medical technology.
With 18 new Canadian exhibitors, a number of matchmaking initiatives with partner organizations from Germany, Belgium and Israel and a networking reception on November 13, 2014 at the hall 16 Canadian Pavilion, the upcoming event will offer Canadian exhibitors and visitors ample opportunities to showcase their latest in technology and product capabilities.
Ontario will once again have the largest exhibitor group among Canadians (24), with British Columbia coming in as an impressive second with 14 exhibitors and Quebec with 9 exhibitors. The bulk of Canadian exhibitors are located in halls 3 (14) and 16 (21).
Canada will have dedicated pavilions in the electro medicine/medical technology (hall 16), the laboratory equipment/diagnostics (hall 3) and the disposables (hall 5 and 6) sections of the show. These pavilions are organized by the Messe Düsseldorf (Canada) office in Toronto. They offer smaller or first time exhibitors turn-key and/or full service packages at the show.
A record 5,735 companies from more than 70 countries around the world are registered for MEDICA/COMPAMED 2014. The annual four-day event is bursting out of the seams and will once again occupy 17 of Messe Düsseldorf’s 19 exhibition halls (the remaining two will be occupied by the three-day COMPAMED show). International participation has once again grown, reflecting and underlining MEDICA’s role and appeal as the meeting place for the global medical business communities.
