Clinical research initiatives grants announced by CIHR

Ottawa, ON – The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) have announced the results of its Team Grant: Clinical Research Initiatives (Regional/National Clinical Research Initiatives) competition.

The organization says a total of 11 applications were submitted. Applications were reviewed by the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI)/CIHR Regional/National Clinical Research Initiatives peer review committee, resulting in the approval of five applications, of which three will be awarded funding for research infrastructure by the CFI.

Tardif, J-C, Montreal Heart Institute, Canadian Atherosclerosis Imaging Network. $10,000,000. No partner funding. 5 years.

Yusuf, S, McMaster University, Network and Centre for Global Clinical Trials. $9,582,529. Partner funding: $10,000,000. 5 years.
