Distribution deal to benefit worldwide access to research materials

Huntingdon, UK – Metals and materials supplier Goodfellow has signed an agreement with Sigma-Aldrich to market and distribute its materials around the world, a move it says will benefit researchers worldwide by allowing them greater access to its extensive product portfolio.

Initially, the agreement makes 10,000 of Goodfellow’s products, including pure metals, alloys, ceramics and polymers, available through Sigma-Aldrich’s Aldrich Materials Science initiative. The offer will expand within the coming months to include the company’s entire portfolio of 70,000 products.

Goodfellow says that under the terms of the agreement, distribution will start in Canada in about six months.

“Sigma-Aldrich is the international leader in providing materials to the research market,” says Stephen Aldersley, Goodfellow’s managing director. “Through operations in nearly 40 countries, Sigma-Aldrich can provide researchers global access to our portfolio of products. Improved availability of metals, alloys, ceramics and materials in general to researchers worldwide can enable continued growth in very important research areas.”
