Oakdale, PA – Goodfellow Cambridge, parent company of Goodfellow, says it has acquired The Technical Glass Company, a UK-based supplier of ceramics, ceramic components and specialist glass for scientific and industrial applications.
Goodfellow supplies metals, polymers, ceramics and other materials for scientific use in research and development, as well as specialized production.
In addition to offering quality ceramics, Technical Glass’s staff offers extensive knowledge of ceramic products, properties and applications, as well as practical, hands-on experience in product development, manufacturing and technical problem solving. John Savage, the company’s founder and an expert in the field of glass and ceramics, will be staying with the business as a consultant.
“The acquisition of Technical Glass not only extends our offering of ceramic products, it also brings enhanced competencies in custom fabrication and functionality,” says Stephen Aldersley the company’s managing director. “We expect the synergies resulting from this acquisition to be of significant benefit not only to a wide range of customers but also to both companies.”
