LAB International appoints new president


Laval, QC September 24, 2003 Drug development company LAB International has appointed Ron Kaczorowski to the position of president and chief operating officer, effective immediately.

“I look forward to working closely with Mr Kaczorowski, a proven executive with extensive experience in the healthcare industry,” says Dr Halvor Jaeger, CEO of LAB International. “In addition to spearheading the expansion of our multinational research services operations, Ron will play a lead role in executing LAB’s inhalation development strategy, building our drug development division into a comprehensive commercialization vehicle for inhalation-delivered therapeutics.”

Mr Kaczorowski was most recently president for Phillips Medical Systems Canada, where he oversaw the integration of five acquisitions, and was responsible for the profitability and growth of the company. Prior to this, he was vice president & general manager of the Healthcare Solutions Group for Hewlett-Packard (Agilent Technologies) from 1992 to 2001.

Leigh Berryman will continue as president of LAB Pre-Clinical, with the principal mandate to oversee LAB’s research services division, which is already consistently delivering aggressive year-over-year growth.
