Strategic alliance for NIR Diagnostics and Shaklee

Campbellville, ON – NIR Diagnostics, a developer of handheld spectroscopy based medical instruments, says it has received shareholder approval for a strategic alliance with Shaklee Corporation.

The companies say they have been preparing to enter the development stage of their partnership and have in recent weeks already completed a number of additional new analyte tests towards enhancing the existing product offering and commercial arrangement.

NIR Diagnostics develops near-infrared spectroscopic medical diagnostics, and says it has a portfolio of optical, electronic and algorithm related patents in the field of in-vitro and in-vivo blood analysis. Pleasanton, CA-based Shaklee specializes in natural nutrition and personal care products, environmentally sensitive household products and state-of-the art air and water treatment systems.
