Chicago, IL – The Association for Laboratory Automation (ALA) has issued an invitation to research scientists, engineers and business leaders to submit abstracts for podium and poster presentations at the LabAutomation2011 Conference and Exhibition, January 29-February 2, 2011 in Palm Springs, CA.
Abstract focus areas include detection and separation; micro- and nanotechnologies; high-throughput technologies; informatics; and evolving applications of laboratory automation, specifically with agriculture and food. Industries include drug discovery and development; clinical diagnostics; agriculture and food; forensics and security; and energy generation / petrochemicals, among others.
Submissions selected to be part of the top 100 podium presentations on laboratory automation will be eligible for an ALA Innovation Award, a $10,000 cash prize given to the most exceptional podium presentation at the conference.
Additionally, ALA Innovation Award finalists will have the possibility of being selected as an elite guest presenter to showcase their work at the 25th Chemtech World Expo, Bombay Exposition Centre, Mumbai, India, February, 23-26, 2011. Guest presenters will be provided with air travel to and from Mumbai, along with hotel accommodations, and a modest per diem.
All abstracts will be reviewed by ALA’s Scientific Committee. The abstract submission deadline is August 9, 2010, and more information is available at www.labautomation.com/LA11.
