Toronto, ON – A call for papers has been issued by the 8th Biennial Conference on Monitoring and Measurement of the Environment, which will take place in Toronto from May 10-13.
Delegates to the conference will have access to up-to-date results from every part of the analytical environmental community. Special attention to recent developments in microwave digestion, chromatography, mass spectrometry, and environmental microbiology will highlight the 2010 meeting. A special session on the effect of Ontario’s drinking water testing regulation on analytical laboratories will also be held.
Plenary session speakers include Prof Jacob de Boer, Institute for Environmental Studies, the Netherlands, and Prof Janusz Pawliszyn, University of Waterloo.
The event also includes a laboratory exhibit of interest to the environmental analytical community. In addition, courses and workshops on topics of interest to scientists and managers in the analytical/environmental field will be held May 13-14.
Contributed verbal or poster presentations on any aspect of environmental analysis and monitoring are welcome. Abstracts are due April 1, 2010, and more details are available at www.enviroanalysis.ca
