Medical devices developer receives NRC-IRAP grant to investigate new tissue technology


Richmond, BC September 29, 2003 Medical device technology developer Medical Ventures says that its subsidiary, Performance Medical Devices, has received a National Research Council Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP) financial assistance grant to investigate and develop new tissue technology. The initial investigation costs are estimated at approximately C$150,000.

“It is very rewarding for our tissue technology project to have gained such support from the NRC," says Paul Geyer, president & CEO of Medical Ventures. "With their support, we can expect to broaden our portfolio of tissue based products.”
