Partnership to expand Zeiss’ reach in clinical market

Toronto, ON – Carl Zeiss Canada says it is entering into a new exclusive agreement with Inter Medico to distribute its clinical microscopy product line across the country. The agreement will be effective on January 10.

The company says the partnership will significantly extend its reach into the hospital markets and clinical accounts which focus on patient health care and diagnosis.

“Although our growth has been good in the clinical sector with our direct sales strategy, we believe we can address the market on a bigger scale through a distribution strategy,” states Mick O’Brien, President of Carl Zeiss Canada. “Zeiss has world-class products for clinical microscopy and we wanted a more comprehensive strategy to approach our clinical customers. Inter Medico has outstanding clinical laboratory coverage across Canada and is one of the most respected clinical device distributors in Canada – we are privileged to have our clinical microscopes represented by such a professional and well-established Canadian company,” he adds.
