Pittsburgh, PA – The Pittsburgh Conference has released a call for papers and a call for topics (conferee networking sessions) for Pittcon 2009, the 60th annual Pittcon Conference and Exposition which will be held March 8-13, 2009, McCormick Place South, Chicago.
Under the call for papers, the program committee is soliciting abstracts of original, previously unpublished findings in all aspects of instrumental analysis including but not limited to chromatography, molecular and atomic spectroscopy, electrochemistry, mass spectrometry and lab-on-a-chip technology. The committee is also seeking abstracts addressing novel applications of measurement science in areas such as nanotechnology, biomedicine, neurochemistry, genomics, forensics, informatics and quality assurance as well as pharmaceutical, environmental, polymer and food science.
For full consideration, abstracts must be received by August 15, 2008. Abstracts may only be submitted electronically via the technical program link at www.pittcon.org, and more information is available from Becky Hackley, Pittcon program coordinator, at 800-825-3221 or 412-825-3220 ex 219.
The submission deadline for the call for topics for the conferee networking sessions is July 18, and all topics may be submitted online. Suggestions will be reviewed and selections made by the conferee networking committee no later than September 5, 2008.
