New program supports research using biomedical imaging

Quebec, QC – The Fonds de recherche du Québec – Nature et technologies (FRQNT) and the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS) have signed an agreement with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Space of the State of Israel (MOST).

The agreement aims to develop a new program on biomedical imaging to support innovative international research projects involving researchers from Israel and Québec. The collaborations between Israeli and Québec researchers will enable major scientific breakthroughs in the short and medium term, by combining and potentiating the strengths, expertise and structural leverage of both countries, as well by promoting the knowledge transfer.

The agreement was signed last week in the presence of several dignitaries and representatives of the three partners including the scientific director of the FRQS, Dr. Renaldo Battista, and the Consul General of Israel in Montréal, Nevo Kulman.
