Acoustic biosensor improves protein interaction analysis

Native membrane proteins and protein complexes can be challenging to analyze by traditional biosensor platforms. SAW Instruments’ sam X amily of biosensors, part of the sam x system, measure changes in mass and viscoelasticity at the chip surface based on changes in the high-frequency acoustic oscillations running across the chip surface. The eight channels of the dual-chip system provide more sensors for higher throughput and flexible fluidic channel routing, allowing different samples to be delivered to discrete channels or combinations of channels on the chip. Different proteins can also be immobilized at separate senor positions while the chip is online. SAW Instruments GmbH
