Control system automatically shuts down hazardous gas sources

An economical control system automatically shuts down as many as eight flammable, toxic, corrosive, or high-purity gas sources independently or in unison. Designed for safety or process control in high-purity process, analytical, and research applications, the 585 series emergency shutdown controller is suitable for flammable or toxic gas shutdown control in the event of detection of a leak or fire. When deployed with CONCOA’s Series 586 emergency shutoff valve kits and other safety accessories, the system maintains purity while providing instantaneous, fail-safe gas supply and flow shutdown.

The controller includes an integral ESTOP button for manual activation; an audible and visual alarm for high-profile visible and audible notification; 16 programmable input relays for remote buttons, flow switches, or other indicators; and up to eight programmable pneumatic output ports for control of the 586 Series Emergency Shutoff Valves. In addition to high-visibility multicolor LEDs, the emergency shutdown controller provides status monitoring and integration via 16 programmable output relays, event log, on-board web server, and e-mail alerts.
