Digital PCR system provides experimental design flexibility

Many life sciences researchers rely on the polymerase chain reaction technique for their applications. The QX200 Droplet Digital PCR technology from Bio-Rad Laboratories provides the ability to detect rare mutations—including distinguishing rare sequences in tumors—as well as precise measurement of copy number variation, and absolute quantification of gene expression. It works with Evagreen and Taqman hydrolysis probes to provide users with more flexibility in the design of their experiments. The instrument can also be used with some PCR-validated assays for cancer mutation detection and genomic variations to make running an experiment easier. Bio-Rad Laboratories Inc.
