Double O-ring caps prevent sample loss

Poor sealing can cause sample loss. Porvair Sciences’ new silicone cap mats for its range of 2 ml deep-well storage blocks incorporate a double O-ring feature to ensure a a tight liquid proof seal. The storage blocks can be shaken inverted or frozen without any loss of stored sample integrity. The new cap mats contains no contaminants that may leach out and affect stored sample. They also come with a specially weakened area in the shape of a cross on each of the 96 cap/well sections. For automated sample storage applications where piercing and reassessing is required, the silicone caps allow easy, reproducible access while maintaining an high integrity seal on individual plate wells.
