For one manufacturer, developing a new DSC solution involved achieving a balance between sensitivity and resolution, along with great reproducibility, and fast heating and cooling. The DSC 214 Polyma from Netzsch, has improved sample preparation to advanced pan geometry with special packaging for transport, handling and archiving, and a new furnace with heating and cooling rates of up to 500 K/min. Measurement preparation is simplified via a new SampleCutter and 96 pre-sorted and cleaned Concavus pans, which are boxed to enable safe handling. The solution also includes a tool that allows for the identification of unknown polymers. Netzsch Instruments North America LLC
