Three new Isletest series ELISA kits from Biomerica aid in the diagnosis of Insulin-Dependent Diabetes Mellitus (IDDM) or type 1 diabetes in predisposed individuals. One kit detects glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD) levels in human serum, the second one detects circulating autoantibodies to islet cell antigens in human serum, and the third kit detects circulating insulin autoantibodies (IAA) in human serum. The kits contain microwell strips and enough reagents sufficient for analyzing 45 patients in duplicate. Each test is a room-temperature procedure with a total of 2-1/2 hours of incubation time.
