Automating workflow procedures can be time-consuming. A new online tool, Iautomate, from Thermo Fisher Scientific, lets users test the design of their automated workflow before it is installed, saving them time that would otherwise be spent configuring and trialing an automation set-up. Users can build systems to meet their application and process requirements or modify an existing system around the Orbitor RS plate mover. Users select and virtually assemble instruments using drag-and-drop functionality and the tool will automatically snap them into alignment around the mover. Models can be visualized in 2D or 3D.
