The Laboratory Safety Training series provides laboratory employees with the specific training required to perform their jobs safely. A GHS Safety Data Sheets Training Course has now been added to the series. The program reviews the composition of GHS Safety Data Sheets; the information contained in each section and how SDSs differ from Material Safety Data Sheets. Topics covered in the new course also include materials and their hazards; hazardous materials emergencies; and handling hazardous materials.
The addition brings the entire series to 13 titles and is available on DVD, interactive CD-ROM and web-based formats. The program combines audio, full-motion video, text and colourful graphics, providing a cost-effective solution to laboratory safety training.
The courses are divided into several logical sections, each with its own quiz, so information is easily understood. The interactive format allows trainers to collect employee performance information which can be organized through a relational database and provides recordkeeping and tracking report capabilities.
