A new cell morphology system for networked hospitals and associated laboratories gives laboratories within the same network, no matter of size, the ability to share, review and store their manual blood tests, known as differential counts. For smaller laboratories performing up to 15 cell differentials per day this will allow them to digitize their samples and have the analysis performed at a main lab. Even the smallest labs can now become best practice in cell morphology. Utilizing a laboratory’s existing microscopes, the software helps the technologist to find, focus and capture cell images, and then transmits the digital cells to the main lab at another location where the review is performed.
