Technology that improves the understanding of normal and aberrant cell behaviour is helpful for scientists researching such areas as cancer, stem cells and infectious disease, among others. PerkinElmer’s Operetta High Content Imaging System now includes live cell capabilities, which provides the ability to perform live cell assays with higher throughput. New capabilities include brightfield imaging and environmental chamber options, and a new transmitted light digital phase-contrast mode that enables the imaging and segmenting of live cells without using fluorescent dyes. It is integrated with the Columbus Image Data Storage and Analysis System and Tibco Spotfire software. PerkinElmer Inc.
