Extremely robust kit for differentiating mouse bone marrow and compact bone-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs) into osteoblasts is now available. The data from the MesenCult Osteogenic Stimulatory Kit (Mouse) shows what the manufacturer describes as unparalleled levels of differentiation as measured by expression of key osteogenic transcripts involved in bone differentiation and maturation. Compact bone-derived MSCs differentiated in culture using the kit exhibited superior expression of Runx2, Osx, Alp, and Bsp on a logarithmic scale when compared to cells differentiated in a leading commercially available differentiation medium for mouse. Webpage shows the quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) data.
The MesenCult™ Osteogenic Stimulatory Kit (Mouse) will facilitate research in mouse models in many therapeutic areas including cell-based therapy for bone regeneration, bone resorption disorders and genetic bone diseases. STEMCELL Technologies
