Four new kits are designed to simplify the extraction of proteins from cells and tissues. Fast and easy to use, individual kits are available for total protein extraction, the extraction of integral membrane proteins and membrane-associated proteins and the isolation of cytoplasmic and nuclear proteins. The mammalian cell total protein extraction reagent provides gentle one-step extraction of total protein, while the nuclear and cytoplasmic protein extraction kit rapidly isolates cytoplasmic and nuclear proteins from cultured cells and tissues. Both are suitable for use with downstream applications such as 1D and 2D gel electrophoresis, Western blotting, electrophoretic mobility shift assay (EMSA), immunoprecipitation, affinity purification, and enzymatic activity and reporter gene assays.
The total membrane protein extraction kit quickly isolates high quality membrane and cytoplasmic protein fractions from mammalian cells and tissues, with no cross-contamination. The membrane protein optimization kit can be used to quickly identify optimal extraction conditions for membrane proteins of interest and is suitable for the extraction of native, functional membrane proteins from mammalian, fungal, and bacterial cells.
