Multi-angle light scattering (MALS) detectors are widely used within biopharmaceutical research. Malvern Instruments’ Viscotek SEC-MALS 20 provides users with every type of GPC/SEC light scattering detection—low angle, right angle and multi-angle. It measures absolute molecular weight for macromolecular applications and supplies Rg measurements for molecules larger than 10-15 nm. It also provides increased sensitivity for low-angle detection and allows the use of a variety of different mobile phases without the need to alter the detector’s optical properties.
