Membrane drying devices replace sodium sulfate in the lab


Two new membrane drying devices have been introduced have been added to the Horizon Technology’s DryDisk and DryDisk Barrel line. The new DryDisk-R is an inexpensive replacement for sodium sulfate in routine laboratory work. The company says the low cost and convenience will make it especially attractive for production laboratories.

The in-line phase separation system, WaterTrap membrane drying system, is designed to work with the SPE-DEX 3100 oil and grease system to dry extracts after the solid phase extraction (SPE) disk and prioir to collection, making the process painless.

The DryDisk products are accepted in many environmental methods in place of sodium sulfate. Horizon Technology
