The manufacturer says the ability to output linear chlorophyll concentration means that it performs similarly to far more expensive meters.
The meter is suitable for teaching and research with applications such as monitoring environmental stress, evaluating efficiency of fertilizer treatments, optimizing harvest schedules, pest control, crop bleeding. It provides consistent readings – a large sampling area integrates larger leaf areas and provides a more reproducible measurement. A field of view reducer can be used if the leaf width is narrower that the 9.0 mm sample chamber.
