Scaling up bioprocess production both effectively and efficiently is challenging for researchers. That’s why Corning’s four new microcarriers are offered with various surface treatings and coatings to enhance cell attachment, helping maximize cell yield and viability. These include the Synthemax II Coating, which creates a synthetic surface on the microcarriers for stem cell expansion. Low-concentration carriers are available for MSC applications and high-concentration carriers are available for iPS/ES applications. Others include the CelllBind surface treatment, which infuses surface of the microcarriers with oxygen, as well as a positive charge surface treatment and a collagen coating. Corning Incorporated
