The right tools are needed to ensure precise positioning of optical or mechanical components in applications where space is in short supply. Physik Instrumente’s new series of LPS-24 miniaturized piezo-motor-driven linear positions are less than one-inch wide, and provide 15mm travel range with closed-loop sensor resolution up to 2 nm. The motor provides 5 N of thrust and offers several operating modes including long-distance, high-dynamic nanostepping and constant velocity mode.
