Fused silica is a popular choice of melting vessel material due to excellent thermal and chemical stability, however some manufacturing methods produce inconsistent vessels, affecting the product’s lifetime or causing failure during the melting process. Goodfellow’s high-purity fused silica melting vessels are moulded, producing optimal characteristics for melting applications. A wide range of sizes, capacities and shapes are offered, including square, cylindrical and rectangular.
