Peltier cooler reduces running costs of GC system

For cold injections in gas chromatography, it is sometimes required to inject a sample below ambient temperature to enrich the sample, improve recovery of a specific component or prevent its thermal degradation. Atas has a new Peltier Cooler been designed for the Optic GC Inlet. The high cost of running inlet cooling can be greatly reduced by replacing the cryogenic system with a Peltier cooler. The new unit uses dry compressed air or nitrogen gas as a cooling media, and it is especially suited to applications when cooling to sub-ambient temperatures is not required.
