Designed to provide a low cost chemical hood solution for protection of the operator and environment from toxic vapors, gases, fumes, and particulate, the AC600 Series ductless chemical workstation features the use of molded thermoplastics configured for a variety of common applications. Smaller in size, this portable fume hood is suitable for the classroom or laboratory for general chemistry involving small volumes of common chemicals, tissue staining and processing; school demonstration workstations, forensic applications and animal necropsy. The chemical fume hood filter and electronics are located above the work area, eliminating the chance of a chemical spill entering these sensitive areas. A low airflow alarm warns user both visually and audibly and a filter safety lockout to ensure correct filter replacement.
With standard features like an automatic safety controller, an integral base with deep spill lip this hood is quiet and plugs into standard 110V or 220V electrical outlets. They are available in low-profile (30-inch) or tall (40-inch) versions in 32- or 48-inch widths with a nominal 24-inch depth.
