Portable viscometer has extended measurement range

Contamination, mix-up and oil degradation can cause lubricant viscosity to change, affecting machinery performance. Spectro’s SpectroVisc Q3050 portable kinematic viscometer can help avoid these problems by providing immediate determination of lubricant viscosity in the field. With a range from 1cSt to 680 cSt at 40°C, the unit can calculate 100°C viscosity values with the input with the V1 index. No solvents are required; only a few drops—60µL—of oil are needed to take measurements. Additionally, sampling cell surfaces can be easily cleaned without solvents.
